Love my older wider planks. Awesome for pow days and touring in soft snow. Highly recommended

my review is actually for the prior generation 106 by 182, but I think it is relevant to this version. I just can't stop grinning when riding these boards. They bomb though everything the PNW can throw at you. I ski primarily off piste and past gates. They are a dream in light pow, always floating with a delightful bounce. I ski 15% faster through cut up soft stuff, amazed at how easy it is to haul ass. Surprisingly, they hold great on polished surfaces and track great at speed on a groomer. I've been skiing aggressively for 45 years and have never tried a ski that has improved my skiing as much as this one.

Expert review LibTech Wunderstick 106: The one ski you need. This mid-fat quiver killing ski is truly designed to do it all. It is at home on the resort, off piste and on the ski track. A wood core reinforced with fiberglass provides playfull dampening and torsional rigity when charging hard, while offering a medium to stiff flex to absorb the bumps. The Wunderstick's carves like its on rails due to its camber underfoot and patented magne traction serrated edges which provide unparalleled edge hold. The directional design featuring a swallow tail gives you exceptional maneuverability in powder, looks great, and provides a secure point to clip your skins. The ski weighing in at 1905g is on the lighter side, combined with the bio-beans snow shedding technology on the top sheet you get a ski that won't fatigue you on the skin track. The ski is made with numerous plant based oils and materials in the USA in the most eco-friendly plant on earth. The only downside of this ski is it will make all your current skis obsolete and collect dust.

Just skied fourth day and first PNW big powder dump day yesterday on my Wunderstick 106’s (178 cm). Recovering today, still grinning from yesterday’s experience and feeling compelled to drop review. I am a 53 year old, 5’10 190 lb, advanced intermediate I suppose at this age but still love to ski off piste, hit and catch air of anything and play in untouched powder whenever possible. Have skied blizzard kabookies since 2012 watching friends all upgrade and get faster and better with better technology. Not pulling trigger myself to continue search for perfect one ski ride. I’ve got other hobbies that also cost money snd don’t want three pair of skis to match conditions of the day. All this to say after four days ranging from icy groomers to powder world, I am stoked to have purchased these babies with new marker jesters mounted just for me. Slightly more than a cool thousand dollars in these but I suspect I will still be living in ten years.

I demo'd these at Alta a few seasons back, and they blew me away on a cruddy day. I'd been skiing Rossignol Sin 7s, which get battered around. I tried out two other pairs of Lib Techs that day, as well as some DPS, K2s, and Blizzards. I bought a pair of Wunderstick 106s as soon as I could. I have about 70 or so days on mine at this point. I ski everything with them, although I just picked up some Yewps to have a dedicated powder ski. Love how much control I have with them, how versatile they are, how confident I feel. Really nimble for a 106. If you've never tried Lib Techs, give these a shot. You'll be impressed. And that edge! Bless magne traction. Terrific ski.
